Step 1: Load the M3U File in VLC
Launch VLC. Drag and drop your M3U playlist file into the player workspace, or navigate to Media -> Open File to load it.
Step 2: Open the Playlist Window Sidebar
Click View -> Playlist (or press Ctrl+L) to reveal the sidebar containing all channels. You can use the search bar to locate specific stream links.
Step 3: Fix Channel Skipping Issues
VLC immediately skips to the next channel if a stream connection fails or experiences a timeout. Toggle the loop pattern to 'Loop One' in the controls to prevent this.
Exporting Custom Lists from VLC
Once you have reorganized your files inside the VLC sidebar, you can export your custom order as a new M3U file from Media -> Save Playlist to File.
